Missions
The main mission of the Ministry of Transport is to monitor and implement the Government’s transport policy with a view to modernising our transport system. The structures of the Ministry of Transport must achieve the following specific objectives:
- improve the institutional, legal and organisational framework of the transport sector;
- organise transport activities ;
- encourage the development of transport ;
- Promote an adequate, high-quality transport service;
- improve access to transport services for all socio-professional groups;
- facilitate access to bank loans for transport operators.
In line with these specific objectives, which are designed to respond to the concerns of the population, the actions and activities of the Ministry of Transport are in line with strategic priority No. 4 of the Government Work Programme (PTG): to ensure the revival of economic infrastructures and the modernisation of the transport system.
