PWIC MANAGEMENT UNIT

The Web Portal for Trade Information (PWIC) in Côte d’Ivoire is a Trade Facilitation Platform implemented by the State of Côte d’Ivoire through the Ministry of Trade in partnership with: the European Union, ECOWAS, WAEMU, the World Bank Group, GUCE-CI. The PWIC is a trade information portal that brings together under a single platform all relevant trade-related information from all agencies responsible for certain aspects of trade regulation. The PWIC Management Unit was established through an agreement between the Ministry in charge of Trade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI- Côte d’Ivoire) in September 2018 with technical support from the USAID LPFM II Project.

The PWIC Management Unit is housed at the CCI-Côte d’Ivoire with the objectives of, among others:

  • Ensure that the portal is comprehensive and updated whenever there are changes.
  • Act as an interface between the relevant administrations, operators/users and PWIC to address concerns and requests.
  • Collect, verify and validate business information from the administrations before publishing it on the PWIC.
